Job Summary - Support the mission of DREAM Adaptive Recreation by coordinating safe, quality, year-round outdoor recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. Plan and facilitate DREAM programs including Alpine Ski & Snowboard, Nordic Skiing, Water Sports, Mountain Biking, Paved Path Cycling, Paddle Sports and unique opportunities for the local Military Veteran population. As a team with the  Program Manager and other Program Staff, the Program Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties including program planning and logistics, volunteer and participant recruitment, scheduling and communication, leading in-field lessons, post-program reporting, database and equipment management. This position is often the first point of contact for DREAM volunteer instructors, participants, family members, community members, and partner organizations. It requires keen attention to detail with top notch customer service skills. The program coordinator will spend most of their winter coordinating programs at Whitefish Mountain Resort and at Glacier Nordic Club, with time also spent on-snow teaching lessons. In the summer, the coordinator’s time will be split between office-based administrative work and program facilitation and programs/instruction in the field.

Areas of Responsibility
● Responsible for the planning, on-site coordination and reporting for DREAM programs that serve
a wide variety of individuals with disabilities, ages 5 to adult
● Manage participant and volunteer recruitment, registration, scheduling, and billing of DREAM
individual participants and groups
● Manage the participant and volunteer registration process; tasks may include speaking to
prospective participants and volunteers, sending out registration information, receiving and
reviewing incoming documents, and communicating in a timely manner
● Maintain an effective online filing system for each program’s planning materials and
documentation
● Update the Program Calendar on a rolling basis
● Communicate efficiently and effectively with a volunteer team of over 100 individuals
● Schedule and communicate lesson assignments for volunteer instructors
● Monitor, answer, and return messages regarding program and volunteer inquiries
● Provide data entry support for program / administrative tasks
● Develop and maintain good relationships with DREAM community partners
● Coordinate and uphold risk management policies and procedures related to programs
● Assist in the maintenance of equipment, including documentation
● Provide instruction in adaptive sports for individuals with disabilities

● Drive the program vehicle, including hauling the 14’ & 20’ equipment trailers, to weekly events
● Be a positive and professional representative of DREAM in our community
● Comply with all DREAM policies and procedures
● Adhere to DREAM values and culture
● Participate fully as a member of DREAM staff and volunteer team
● Take on other duties and projects as identified
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of coordinating and leading outdoor recreation programs
● A deep passion for the great outdoors with experience and confidence working in an outdoor
setting
● Experience working with individuals with disabilities
● PSIA/AASI L1 ski/snowboard instructor certification desired, or willingness to obtain within first
year
● Ability to assist in the maintenance and repair (or willingness to learn) of adaptive equipment
and facilities
● Must possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and initiative
● Independence in completing tasks, decision making, and risk management
● Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
● Commitment to a positive, fun, and team-oriented working environment
● Excellent group facilitation and team management skills
● Ability to work flexible hours; regular schedule includes weekend work and evening work
● Savvy with various technology including Mac and/or PC based programs, Google Suite, MS
Office, Adobe creative suite, social media platforms, and databases (Neon CRM experience a
plus)
● Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
● Valid Driver’s License; must verify own auto insurance
● Current First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90
days)
● Clear background check and demonstration of a clean driving record
Compensation: $45,250 - $55,500 depending on experience

Hours: Dependent on program schedule; includes weekend and evening work throughout the year
